I find it odd that so many birthdays are within a certain time frame. Just days ago I found out it was Dan's birthday on the 2nd, it will be both Per's & Christine's birthday on the 8th, and Ashly's on the 12th. This will definitely be some fun times.
For Dan's birthday, we hadn't expected to do anything special -- perhaps our apartment building plus a few others to celebrate it. Since we had a group birthday dinner planned for a later date, we didn't think much about what we'd do for Dan's. So the day started out similarly to mine, and I rounded up everyone from my apartment to knock on Dan's door and surprise him with those poppers & a sundae from 7-11. Creative, right? Haha.
After school no one had anything particular in mind to do so we all ended up hanging around the campus talking for a while. Once things got settled, we ended up heading over to Per's for a bit to relax and came back to our apartments. At dinner time we actually had around 15 of us eating and celebrating his birthday. After some good food we of course, and again, went to the Izakaya.
I know, I've been going there quite a bit recently, but well, it's really fun. I didn't intend to drink much, so I just ordered a mixed fruit drink and sat down chatting. And of course, my pig-brother Bob was there with the power of persuasion and somehow got me to order exactly what he wanted me to. The 'big' beer. Haha, and I am one who hates beer so I drank it in two gulps. For reference to what it looks like, you can search through my Facebook photos for the album cover with it.After one I was pretty full yet still felt like drinking some more. So, I ordered a second and again drank that in 2 gulps like a champ. Haha. By then I was done and had a belly full of food & beer. I went home a daze and slept at a record time of 10:30pm -- boy did I need the sleep. =)
