Day 1 - Arrival

Hey everyone. Well, I guess I'm creating this blog so I don't have to retype or reference people to other pages on facebook to tell them what I've been up to. I'll be uploading my pictures on facebook so comment and tell me what you think about everything. :D

So to start off, I was able to get hooked up with business class flying there. That was pretty awesome. Apparently my dad set up something with his co-worker's wife so I can fly business class if I bring 'goodies' for the flight crew. So my mom basically made a HUGE bag of treats for me to give them. Although I felt DUMB giving it to them, it was pretty funny. I walked in to the plane, and I was greeted with 'Irasshaimase~' and I thought, 'oh crap.' So I tried giving her the basket like it was a secret code or something, but she didn't understand the situation. After she gave it to the other flight members, she was clarified and let me sit up front. Throughout the flight it was a bit odd because everyone personally thanked me and pretty much pampered me, haha. That was the first time I enjoyed such a long flight. The seats could recline alllllll the way back, it was awesome. And the food wasn't bad at all.

Afterward, I got off the plane with Clinton --oh ya, I left him in coach, lol-- and we
met the guy who was picking us up. It was a long and twisty ride to our apartments 2 hours later, but it was rather worth the experience. Looking down the street from the left and watching the cars zoom by on my right was a bit strange.

Our apartments are actually quite awesome. They're bigger than I had imagined and has all the accoutrement's. I took a few pictures so check those out if you're curious. The items are relatively small, but it's enough considering it's like a studio. The bed, is as hard as a rock. It's as though I was sleeping on the floor with a stiff blanket. Oh well, I guess I am here to experience the "Japanese Culture" after all.

I took a small tour with a few others from the same building that night, so we'd get familiar witht he area. It seems as though all of the places we'd ever need to go to buy things are quite close. Even the train station is within 5~10minutes from the apartment building depending on your walking speed. Afterward, we all crashed from jet lag.
